Job Summary:
Data Processing Clerks are responsible for the quality assurance of scanned documents, filing documents, organizing the filing area, ordering supplies for the unit, assisting citizens at the front counter as needed, and other duties as assigned.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Six (6) + months basic computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, or other equivalent software packages.
- Six (6) + months math skill experience.
- Six (6) + months customer service experience.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills
Preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.

- Interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate interaction, communication, and teamwork between others.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and stay on task when completing special projects and daily assignments.
- Ability to maintain a strong work ethic, positive problem-solving attitude, and enthusiasm for the work performed.

- Ability to handle and maintain sensitive and confidential material.
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records and record keeping systems.
Essential Functions:
- Reviews and evaluates all scanned documents for quality
- Files documents that require retention in accordance with state guidelines
- Organizes and maintains the filing area
- Orders office supplies for the Records unit
- Assists citizens at the front counter as needed
- Other clerical duties as assigned
- Communicates effectively in person, via email, via virtual meetings and via telephone.
- Communicates effectively both verbally and written.
