TWO WEEK ON TWO WEEK OFF POLICE OFFICER POSITIONS
The City of Bethel is located in the Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge at the mouth of the Kuskokwim River, 40 miles inland from the Bering Sea and 400 miles west of Anchorage. There are no roads that lead in or out of Bethel to the continuous road system of Alaska. Bethel is the largest City in Western Alaska; Western Alaska is roughly equal to the size of the state of Washington. The City of Bethel has approximately 6,500 year around residents, with an average population being higher, due to us being the commercial and governmental hub of the region.
The City of Bethel Police Department is currently recruiting for Police Officers. All Police Officers work a TWO WEEK ON TWO WEEK OFF schedule. You DO NOT have to live in the state of Alaska. We currently have a staff of 34, which includes civilian and sworn positions.
STARTING SALARY: $75,806 to $92,381, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING.
IT IS NOT ABNORMAL TO TAKE OFF SIX WEEKS PAID VACATION A YEAR WITH OUR SCHEDULE
NO CAP ON LEAVE CASH OUT.

Our police department is conveniently located in town. Our building is three stories high with a large patrol room, Sergeant’s office, CID Office, evidence room, armory, training room, dispatch center, full kitchen, locker room and showers. Attached to the main building is a secondary two-story building which has enough room to park 8 large vehicles, all our ATVs and snow machines.
